See you finished up your Extended term in Mali. We have been following your blog since it began.... Can't recall how we found it?????

We lived & worked in Ivory Coast for years, our kids grew up there.

Returned to our roots in Prince Edward Island, Canada where I'm a fishing captain and NGO too Africa too. We have been back to Africa, off an on, a lot the last 11 years.
Blogs like yours enabled us to stay sane in Canada. Africa never gets out of your blood.

Here we are, at age 44, months away from being empty nesters... and we just began a new work in Mali this year, 100km NE of Sikasso right out to the Burkina border. We are doing simple gravity feed garden drip irrigation plots for women and water purification. We are here in Mali 6 months each year.

Run into an odd PCV when in Sikasso, but none stationed out our way. Anyway, enjoyed your stories, and the journey you put us on. Just kind of felt we had to let you know we enjoyed the story....

Don't delete the blog. Keep it open till you die. They are ways of preserving and sharing memories...Your kids will thank you. We have many international workers who have lost so many memories from computer crashes, or from deleting online content etc. Experiences long forgotten, and that will never be retold. Only odd things remembered with little "trigger" events, Congrats on the Engagement.
Thanks.

AJ & Lynn,

What a treasure of a comment!! Thank you so much for writing and reading - I hope you'll be able to keep up with Mali on my new blog.

I appreciate you reading - you've been through quite the journey with me over the past few years and I'm looking forward to continuing to update in the future. I will not delete this blog or make it private - I enjoy looking back and reading myself :)

Take care and don't be a stranger! Let me know when you guys make it back to Mali again!

We will have to bookmark your new blog for sure. Ran into 3 PCV's today at the post office - calming Christmas loot it looked like.... With big smiles..We just got our Mail box set up today too, after 5 weeks here. Been slow on the uptake. Thanks for the reply.
